Students of KG I participate in creative play during their Multilingual (Marathi)

Einstein said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." Imagination is the door to possibilities. It is where creativity, ingenuity, and thinking outside the box begin for child development. Imaginative and creative play is how children learn about the world. Imagination fosters cognitive and social development and also develops critical thinking. During imaginative play, children manipulate materials, express themselves verbally and non-verbally, plan (intentionally or unintentionally), act, interact, react, and try different roles. We at SPSRN nurture children's imaginations and take joy in their creative thoughts and acts. Today the students of KG I made house of chocolates, candies and biscuits during their Multilingual (Marathi) class while learning the Marathi song “असावा सुंदर चॉकोलेटे चा बंगला” (I wish to have a beautiful bungalow of chocolate). Great opportunities for learning are possible when children participate in creative play with anything and everything on this planet.

Tiny tots presented a wonderful skit on Punjabi Culture

Learning a new language opens a new window to the world of culture, tradition and history associated with the speakers of that language. Children of class KG II learnt Punjabi language in their multilingual class this year. The tiny tots presented a wonderful skit and a fun filled dance for their friends. They depicted a play showing the values upheld in Sikhism in a scene at a Gurudwara.

Students of class Nursery B showcased an assembly on Maha Shivaratri

Speak in such a way that others love to speak to you and listen in such a way that others love to speak to you The students of class Nursery B showcased their talents while depicting the reasons for celebrating the festival of Maha Shivaratri in the form of a class assembly. The children elaborated on the significance of meditation to focus better, look beyond the surface and speak the truth. Children also explained what 'tapa' people do on this day of Mahashivratri – like offering water and milk to Shiva Lingam , worshipping with Bel leaves , observing fast , chanting Om Namah Shivay mantra . Children enthralled the audience with their energetic dance performance . The audience applauded the efforts of the participants and mentors.

Youth Parliament -2023

Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar conducted Youth Parliament under the aegis of Pandit Kunjilal Dubey, National Parliamentary Academy Bhopal. The session was witnessed by Ms Sheela Patidar Councilor, Ward no 52 and Mr Rambabu Patidar, as the Chief Guests. The panel of Jury included Dr Pratima Yadav, Director, Pt. Kunjilal Dubey National Parliamentary Academy, Mr Punit Shrivastava, Director MP Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, Ms Bharti Shrivastava, Asst. Director, Directorate of Public Instruction. Politically conscious Sagarites from classes IX – XI dressed as future leaders participated and depicted a session of Vidhan Sabha. The session commenced with oath of the ministers followed by obituary reference and introduction of new ministers. In the QUESTION HOUR, Member of Legislative Assembly raised their issues and questions on bad roads, education related issues and environmental pollution. Important Legislative Procedures of the house like Adjournment Motion and Zero Hour Question were also enacted with presentation of session papers regarding annual accounts of various departments submitted to the Speaker. The House was adjourned after the National Anthem. The Chief Guest and the Jury Members greatly appreciated the efforts of the Sagarites for presenting an enlightening session on functioning of the Youth Parliament.

Class assembly was conducted by IV F on 'National Science Day'.

"Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge" A class assembly was conducted on 17.2.23 by IV F on the topic National Science Day. National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928. Students gave information about various inventors and inventions in the field of health and 5 pillars of well-being as the theme of National Science Day 2023 is Global Science For Global Well-being. The assembly ended with a beautiful song to develop scientific temperament in students.

Session on exam orientation was organized for class X and XII

"You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win." In the light of this aptly quipped quote, a session on exam orientation was organized for students and parents of class X and XII on February 17, 2023. During this session, students were briefly guided to abide by the rules, regulations and SOPs for appearing in upcoming CBSE board exams. Class teachers, Supervisors, Vice Principal and the Principal of SPS RN were present to address the queries of Parents. Admit cards were signed and all were asked to extend their full cooperation and support in the smooth and fair examination process. Energised with best wishes and blessings of their mentors, our dear Sagarites will surely give their best in the exams. With this hope and confidence once again SPS RN family wishes its young sagarites all the very best for board exams.

Celestial Awards 2022-23

"No one will ever disagree that excellence is never an accident. It is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skilful execution and vision to see obstacles as opportunities." Celestial awards for outstanding students in various categories were distributed for classes I - XII in a sparkling ceremony. The awards were given in FOUR categories: Most Regular, Most Enthusiast, Best Turnout and Best Communicator. Students were delighted and highly motivated to give their best in all the upcoming opportunities.

Students of class VII D conducted assembly on Indian Army Day

"SERVICE BEFORE SELF- SEVA ASMAKAM DHARMA''. Students of class VII D conducted assembly at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar, Bhopal on Indian Army Day . Children beautifully explained that the primary mission of the Indian Army is to ensure national security and national unity, to defend the nation from external aggression and internal threats, and to maintain peace and security within its borders. They proudly showed how Indian Army is the land force of the Armed Forces of India and has the prime responsibility of conducting land-based warfare. The students performance was praised by everyone. Children revealed their intrinsic interest and enthusiasm through their participation and performance.

Assembly was conducted by class IV E on Abraham Lincoln's day

"The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of the government in the n ext " A Class Assembly was conducted in Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar, Bhopal by class IV E on Abraham Lincoln's day. Students depicted about the life, struggles, failures and success story of Abraham Lincoln with the help of a wonderful skit. Children learnt that nothing and nobody can stop you from learning and improving yourself. Although you may face hardships in life and be born with no advantages yet with hardwork and determination you may achieve amazing things in life. The students showcased their intrinsic talent by performing a wonderful dance and singing a melodious song .

Interdisciplinary Activity was conducted for classes III - V on PATRIOTISM

Interdisciplinary Studies allow learning and addressing topic under more than one academic disciplines. This enhances the creative skills and brings comprehensive understanding. For Classes III to V Interdisciplinary Activity was conducted under the theme of PATRIOTISM. The topic was well integrated not only with all the academic subjects but also with art, dance and drama . It was overall an excellent creative and skill based learning.

Children of classes I and II participated in Creative Mind Mapping Competition

"Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I learn" The children of classes I and II participated in Creative Mind Mapping Competition conducted on 7th February 2023 at SPSRN. The motive was to inculcate learning by enhancing planning and organised thinking amongst the students. Thinking before writing and drawing helps to avoid getting stuck in any project. There was a lot of creativity flowing through the young ignited minds. The students enjoyed the activity thoroughly.

Eklavya house presented an assembly on Gujarat.

'Jewel of the West' - Gujarat, the Land of the Legends, is the birthplace of many eminent personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Narendra Modi, Dhirubhai Ambani and many others who contributed alot in building our nation. Eklavya house presented an assembly on Gujarat. Through this assembly our students learnt that Gujarat is one of the most diverse States in India. Its history stretches over a long years from the age old Harappan Civilization to the Mughal period. Gujarat's endless journey from Roots to Wings is timeless with historical and cultural traditions glorifying the State. The dancing feats on garba beats, delicacies that pleases the senses, the spiritual environment, the rising entrepreneurs - all these can be seen and experienced in Gujarat at once.

Assembly was conducted by class IV D student on Remembering Sarojini Naidu

"We want deeper sincerity of motive, a greater courage in speech and earnestness in action." -Sarojini Naidu A Class Assembly was conducted by the students of Class IV D on Remembering Sarojini Naidu. The assembly started with a few famous lines of one of the poem of Sarojini Naidu which was followed by a series of information on her life, achievements, political participation and literary contribution. Students of IV D enacted on a poem, gave a wonderful dance performance and represented the theme of the assembly. The class concluded the assembly with a vote of thanks.

TAKE RISKS IN YOUR LIFE, IF YOU CAN WIN, YOU CAN LEAD, IF YOU CAN LOOSE YOU CAN GUIDE” A Class Assembly was conducted in Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar, Bhopal by class IV A on National Youth Day. Children beautifully presented the life history, notable works and contribution of Swami Vivekananda. As Swami Vivekananda marks a symbol of youth empowerment, children depicted the importance of National Youth Day through the role play that how youth is the ultimate power of a nation and the most resource of a nation. Children revealed their intrinsic interest and enthusiasm through their participation and performance.

Tiny tots of KG I and KG II participated in handwriting competitions

"You learn to write better by reading You learn to read better by writing✍️ Reading and writing work together improve your ability to think" Every child has a flair to express. Writing only refines it further. Today the tiny tots of KG I and KG II participated in English and Hindi handwriting competitions. The children wrote beautifully with effort and grace. They gave their best with enthusiasm and zeal. The objective of the competitions was to improve their hand writing. Handwriting is an essential skill for students. It is an incredibly important exercise for students and encourages them to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the brain and contributes to reading too. It provides students with an opportunity to display their competency at legible writing.

Inter-House Pantomime Competition

"Where actions speak louder than words, it's Mime" Miming is distinguished from the silent comedy, in which the artist is a perfect character. Inter-House Pantomime Competition was organised at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar for the students of VI and VII. The participants not only made the audience laugh with their performance but also made them ponder upon different values which are essential for each one of our lives.

Students of class VIII showcased a Moot Court

Moot Court is basically a mock court in which law students argue hypothetical cases for practice. It is to make students familiar with the oral proceedings that take place in real courtrooms. The students of VIII from Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar showcased a trial in a Moot Court set up to simulate a real court environment. Students presented a hypothetical case and took on the role of either the appellant or respondent. Participants thought critically about the law and built robust, persuasive arguments during the moot. This case and other biases provoked the thoughts of students, be it on economic, gender, ethnic or religious matters of the society . One has to counter and strive to change as we will grow up in the new India as enlightened citizens.

Dhruv house presented an assembly on Kerala

'God's own country' - Kerala a place full of greenery, mountains and streams. Kerala not only offers a visual treat, but also the people of Kerala are highly regarded for their culture and enterprises. Dhruv house presented an assembly on Kerala. Through this assembly our students learnt that Kerala has the highest literacy rate in India. 38% of our country's nurses are also from Kerala. Recently the state has announced a 20000 crore economic package to deal with coronavirus outbreak. Keralites or Malayalis made their mark everywhere. It is truly said that, "Kerala is the place where the beauty and people are still alike and alive".

DISHA, an inclusive educational framework for holistic outcome of children

DISHA, an inclusive educational framework aiming for the holistic outcome of the special children, was conducted on 31st January to signify the importance of inclusive education based on student learning. It was truly mesmerizing as 9 students of different age groups were able to participate in motor skill activities, fireless cooking, science experiment and coding games. The Principal, Vice Principal and HM’s praised and inspired the students by their fruitful suggestions. All students enjoyed a lot and dispersed with a sincere hope that such events should be organised time and again giving them a chance to display their talents. Students of Nursery to Class II at SPS RN celebrated Basant Panchami

Festivals are the best way to celebrate Indian culture. In this context children of Class Nursery to Class II at SPS RN celebrated Basant Panchami by worshipping Goddess Saraswati( Goddess of wisdom, art and culture.) A power pact performance was delivered by students through a short skit including song and dance to celebrate the spirit of 'Basant'. Beautiful dance in yellow attire by Students added more excitement to the spirit of this worshipful event.

Students of class I 'F' presented assembly on 'Makar Sankranti'

TAKE SWEET, TALK SWEET AND BE SWEET. HAPPY MAKAR SANKRANTI. Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival. This auspicious day is all about a seasonal celebration honouring the Sun God or Lord Surya. It commemorates the Sun's arrival in Makara rashi. May this festival bring all of us blessings, good health, and success in all our endeavors. The students of class I 'F' presented assembly on the topic Makar Sankranti Festival in school. Greeted everyone on the occasion, wished them happiness and good health and explained the importance of the festival. Teachers and students enjoyed the assembly on Makar Sankranti wholeheartedly.

Assembly was conducted by class IV C on National Tourism Day

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page" A Class Assembly was conducted in Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar, Bhopal by class IV C on National Tourism Day (Celebrated on 25th January). Students represented India's rich history, cultural and geographical diversity by enacting as states and their major tourism destinations. Various forms of tourism, including cultural, heritage, cruise, nature, educational, business, sports, rural, medical, and eco-tourism were shown through enacting the role of the particular tourism spot and dance. Students of IV C participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and gave a message of importance of National Tourism through the assembly.

Abhimanyu house presented the assembly on the topic Nagaland: The tribal state

“Our land is a diverse landscape with many different unique features and cultures” In connection with the theme Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat, Abhimanyu house presented the assembly on the topic Nagaland: The tribal state. The students presented the culture, tradition, festivals and life style of the north east state. The costumes and props were so original that reflected real life of Nagas. It was a good opportunity for the students to get into the depth of the life of the Nagaland people.

Students of class I & II participated in Fancy Dress Competition'

"Shaurya Gaatha rahe yaad aaj aur kal. Liya har shatru vaar, unhone hokar atal." To pay tribute to our great freedom fighters, the students of class I & II participated in 'Shaurya Gatha Fancy Dress Competition' on 25th January 2023. Children were enthusiastic about their get up as freedom fighters. Their performance marked the event for great success .

Basant Panchami Celebration

"जनक जननि पदम दूरज, निज मस्तक पर धारि। बन्दौ मातु सरस्वती, बुद्धि बल दे दातारि" सागर पब्लिक स्कूल रोहित नगर में दिनांक 25 जनवरी 2023 बुधवार को कक्षा तीसरी, चौथी एवं पाँचवी के छात्र- छात्राओं द्वारा " बसंत पंचमी का पर्व मनाया गया। दीप प्रज्वलन के साथ कार्यक्रम का आरंभ सरस्वती वंदना से किया गया,जिसमें बाल कलाकारों ने वातावरण को भक्तिमय कर दिया। इसके उपरांत विद्यार्थियों द्वारा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए गए एवं निदेशक महोदय दुबे सर द्वारा माता सरस्वती की महत्ता बताते हुए छात्रों को संबोधित किया गया। तदुपरांत दुबे सर द्वारा कक्षा 3 के विद्यार्थियों का पाटी पूजन संपन्न करवाया गया।जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने पहली बार पेन से ॐ के साथ लिखने की शुरुआत की। विद्यालय के निदेशक महोदय, प्राचार्य महोदया ने बाल कलाकारों का आशीष वचनों के साथ उत्साहवर्धन किया।

Activity ‘Money Fiesta' was organised by SPS RN for class I and II

“Teaching your kids about money is never just about money”- Dave Ramsay. An activity ‘Money Fiesta' was organised by SPS RN for class I and II with an intention of teaching young ones about the value of money. Six shops with various items like fruits and vegetables, grocery, stationery, craft items, soft toys and bags were organised to help children understand about buying and selling commodities in the market. Children enthusiastically performed this activity and learnt about importance of money, it’s transaction and also learnt the tact of selling and buying the commodities. It was a great learning and children enjoyed a lot .

"A girl child is a pride and the future of the nation, Empowering your girl child means empowering your future" An Informative assembly was conducted by class VI E on National Girl Child Day, which is marked every year on 24th January. The students focused on the problems faced by girls in todays society like Girl abuse, domestic violence, killing of girl child , not imparting education for girls. These problems was highlighted by role play followed by giving message that now is the time to educate our boys and empower them to respect girls. Democracy is based upon the conviction there are extraordinary possibilities in ordinary people. “Voting is the expression of our commitment to ourselves, one another, this country, and this world'' In order to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, Government of India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as "National Voters' Day". It has been started from 25 January 2011 to mark Commission's foundation day. Students of class VII -E presented a wonderful assembly on National Voters Day in Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar on Jan 20, 2023. The students presented a skit showing the importance of voting and how it affects the future of our country.

Inter house patriotic dance competition

One nation, one vision, one identity. Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar organised the Inter house patriotic dance competition for classes III to V. Students participated with full enthusiasm. The competition was judged by Ms. Deepika Raj Bhagat and Ms. Poornima P Shetty. The first position was bagged by Abhimanyu house and Dhruv house secured the second position.

Sagarites of Aaruni House presented an assembly on the topic "HEAVEN ON EARTH- KASHMIR"

'Agar firdaus bar roo-e-zameen ast, Hameen ast-o hameen ast-o hameen ast' Kashmir has always been more than a mere place. It has the quality of an experience, or a state of mind, or perhaps an ideal. To make the students know about the real Kashmir, sagarites of Aaruni House presented an assembly on the topic "HEAVEN ON EARTH- KASHMIR". Through a skit students showcased that the beautiful land of Kashmir has been a sacred place, a seat for learning. The students also gave a wonderful sight of Kashmir to the audience through the beautiful board work done by them.

Students of Nur 'A' celebrated 'Makar Sankranti"

Vibrant celebrations marked the harvest festival of Makar Sankranti. Students of class Nursery 'A' made beautiful kites. The elegant attire and performances of students charged everyone. They also created a special corner on the theme of Lohri and Pongal. Students celebrated Makar Sankranti/Lohri/Pongal with gaiety. They sang songs, recited poems and the tiny tots put up a Gujarati dance performance.

World Braille Day

"Braille is knowledge, and knowledge is power " The World Braille Day is celebrated every year on Jan 4 to recognize and respect the efforts of Louis Braille. It was his simple yet effective invention that made it possible for blind people to read as well as write. Students of class VI-D presented a wonderful assembly celebrating World Braille Day in Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar on Jan 13, 2023. The students presented a skit showing the invention of Braille and also showcased the difficulties faced by blind people. The efforts of the students were well applauded by the Principal,Dr. Madhubala Chauhan, who motivated the students in her speech. The assembly ended with a vote of thanks.

Swami Vivekananda, National Youth Day is celebrated at Sagar Public School

Through practice comes yoga, through yoga comes knowledge, through knowledge love and through love bliss. To celebrate the birth anniversary of India's great philosopher and thinker, Swami Vivekananda, National Youth Day is celebrated every year on 12 January. On this day the sagarites of Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar of IX-X performed Surya namaskar spreading positivity all around.

ASPIRE Session for students of classes IX to XII on career goals by Mr.Rishi Singhal

"Don't be afraid to be ambitious about your goals. Hard work never stops. Neither should your dreams". An ASPIRE Session was organized for students of classes IX to XII on career goals. The session was taken by Mr.Rishi Singhal who is a Graduate from MANIT Bhopal and then completed his MBA from IIM Indore. He has worked in Analytics domain at American Express. He has built up his two start-ups. He shared his journey and focused on how students can create a path for themselves. He addressed several careers which are dominantly Humanities, Science and Commerce based. His talk focused on the increasing significance of technology in the world. He discussed with students that how social media has become addictive, started controlling our brain and now we need stay away from it for our better future. Overall it was an enlightening and encouraging session for the students.

Crazy Quilt- Collage Making

Crazy Quilt- Collage Making "Collage has been one of the most relevant forms of art making. It's resonant because it is made of the stuff that we see every day. It's familiar. It reflects our reality." - Elliott Hundley It is a technique of composing materials and changing into art. The children of Nursery - KG II did an activity of collage making by using bits of paper and glue. Through this activity, they learned that even with waste materials we can create something beautiful.

Inter-House Quiz competition 'Quizzard' was conducted for class I and II

Quizz is an interactive platform where students participate not only to win a prize but to absorb knowledge and skill, and to seek opportunities to prepare their future An Inter-House Quiz competition 'Quizzard' was conducted for the children of class I and II. The children exhibited enthusiasm to display knowledge with confidence. The participants attempted the different rounds enthusiastically. They also enjoyed the variety of questions as Riddles, Puzzles, Audio-Visual and Rapid -Fire rounds. Participants mesmerized the viewers by their quick responses. Audience motivated the participants by applauding them throughout the competition.

`ELYSIAN- ART AFFAIR’ activity for classes III - VIII

“Creativity is a natural extension of our enthusiasm.” – Earl Nightingale Sagar Public School Rohit Nagar conducted `ELYSIAN- ART AFFAIR’ activity for classes III - VIII on January 4, 2023 to nurture the students’ creative skills of the students. Different topics were assigned and the students participated with full enthusiasm and portrayed their creativity on paper. It was an enriching activity and students enjoyed it thoroughly.

KALA UTSAV

SPSRN is known for rendering strong holistic development to its students. Showcasing the same, the students gave marvellous performances in KALA UTSAV, a cultural fiesta, organised on 24th December in the school auditorium. The programme had a plethora of cultural events from vocal music, classical and western dance to keyboard, guitar and tabla performances. The students enthralled the audience with their melodies and rhythm. The event ended heralding Christmas and wishing everyone a Happy New Year. The students and teachers went for their winter break with a blissful and joyous mood.

Class IV-B Assembly On "National Consumer Rights Day"

“Your products, your rights”. Every year 24th December is celebrated as National Consumer Rights Day as a means of raising global awareness about consumer rights and needs. On 23rd December class assembly was conducted by the students of Class IV B on National Consumer Rights Day. Students performed a short skit based on a real life experience of a consumer who used his consumer rights and fought for justice against unfair trade practice.Children also spoke about various responsibilities of an ethical consumer. Assembly was concluded with the slogan of “JAAGO GRAHAK JAAGO”.

Vist To Manav Sanghralaya - The National Museum of Anthropology.

School Picnic-A Pleasant Diversion A lovely and invigorating experience of educational trip was organised by Sagar Public School, RN for the students of classes VII and VIII on 23rd December 2022 to Manav Sanghralaya - The National Museum of Anthropology. The highlights of the trip was the museum where an integrated story of the culture and evolution of mankind charmed the young minds. They had a fun filled day with trekking, fun activities and delicious food under the open sky. Overall a new learning experience for Sagarites.

Maths Activity Presented By Students of Grade III To V on Maths Day Celebration

"An equation means nothing to me unless it expresses a thought of God" A famous quote by "Srinivasa Ramanujan" The beauty of Mathematics is that the more you know, the less sure you are about it. With great zeal and enthusiasm, Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar celebrated National Mathematics Day on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Renowned Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on 22nd December. The event included a skit depicting the importance of 1729 - The Hardy Ramanujan Number followed by a Nukkad Natak, magic square and a wonderful mesmerising Fashion Show of different shapes represented by the ignited minds of grade - 3 to 5. The program proved to be a great success revealing the creativity of Sagarites who have shown the use of mathematics in our daily lives through a blend of education and entertainment.

The much awaited festival of Christmas was celebrated with fervor and zeal by class KG-I (D) on 22nd December, 2022. The students presented a spectacular and colourful assembly. The students recited poems and performed a drama on the birth of Jesus Christ. The little ones dressed in white and red, spread the feeling of cheer and joy amongst all present there. The children were filled with joy and excitement as Santa came dancing to the tune of Jingle Bells. Children enjoyed making snowman with clay on the occasion of Christmas. The message of the assembly was loud and clear-- Come let us embrace the spirit of Christmas by bringing joy and happiness into someone’s life.

Educational Trips To ‘Yodhasthal' & 'Science Center'

Educational field trips are some of the most memorable and enriching educational events that students experience in their life. With a aim of creating a joyful learning environment through experiential learning Sagar Public School Rohit Nagar organized educational trips for the young sagarites on December 22nd educational class VI visited Science Center where they witnesses the mesmerizing constellations, they also witnessed models related to energy, light, atmosphere and mechanisim. The cherry on the cake was a 3D movie on aquatic life which was a thrilling experience. Classes IX and X visited the different sections of the War Museum at ‘Yodhasthal’ which has preserved historical tanks, arms and weapons used in various wars, including Operation Vijay and Indo-Pak War. Students visited the six sections namely Preksh Grah, Parichay, Avishkar, Astra Shastra, Alpahar, and Swagat Kaksh. Preksha Grah is an audio-video center where short films of Military historical value are screened. It offers a great opportunity to learn about the modern Indian Army and their devotion to protect the nation. The museum had an exhibition of arms and ammunition used by the Indian Armed forces, the museum provides engrossing knowledge about the victories and war stories of the Indian Army which enthralled the students and teachers alike.

Excursion to "Van Vihar"

"Just education is not enough, children must have sunshine, freedom and playtime" To refresh and rejuvenate , the tiny tots of SPS Rohit Nagar were taken for an excursion to 'Van Vihar’. They were thrilled as it is the most awaited time of the year for them. Children were happy and excited to see animals like Tiger, Monkey, Deer etc. It was a fun packed day and an opportunity for them to bond with their teachers and friends and this tour gave them an experience of being surrounded by greenery and the beauty of nature.

ASPIRE VISIT TO IIM INDORE

ASPIRE VISIT TO IIM INDORE   “Anything which is extraordinarily good cannot be achieved so easy.” Said Colonel(Dr.) GURURAJ Gopinath Pamidi , the Chief Administrative Officer of IIM Indore while  addressing the aspiring young Sagarites. As part of inculcating career knowledge in the Sagarites, an Aspire visit was organized to IIM Indore on 21 December 2022. A team of 30 students escorted by three teachers explored the campus which is spread across193 Acres. It was a worthy day for the students who are interested in doing higher studies in the acclaimed institution. They got the information regarding different courses and programmes organized by the world class institution. They visited the sports complex, residential area and the academic wing guided by Mr. Satendra Singh Rawat,the Facility Office in-charge. The students got the unique opportunity to interact with The CAO of  the prestigious organization, Colonel(Dr.) GURURAJ Gopinath Pamidi. In his interaction he explained the ways to get admission into IIM. The students  were given the opportunity to clear their doubts during the discussion. The infrastructure, working and administration of the organization were all worth exploring

Inter house IT Quiz "InformatiQ 2.0"

" Technology connects us, Technology unites us, Technology amplifies our power " --Vivienne Harr On 21st December 2022, an Inter house IT Quiz "InformatiQ 2.0" was conducted for classes VI to VIII on the topic Emerging Trends In Technology. Questions were asked from domains of latest technologies, devices and applications etc. Students participated enthusiastically and gave stiff competition to each other. Abhimanyu house bagged first prize. It was a great learning experience not only for students but also for the audience.

Educational Trip For Students of Classes II To V

Educational Excursions are exciting opportunities for students and teachers alike .A very informative field trip was designed to enhance the educational experience for all students of 3 to 5 segment where students of classes 3 and 4 visited Tribal Museum and grade 5 visited Manav Sangrahalaya. This field trip provided students with an opportunity to learn outside the classroom. The students were thrilled to witness the rich and varied heritage of India and understand about the evolution of mankind. Next the students visited Mayur Park where they played and had lunch. It was a successful field trip where the children learnt with fun and joy.

THE MISSILE WOMAN OF INDIA Dr. Tessy Thomas, also known as the Missile Woman of India, raises the pride of the country by becoming the first women to head a missile project. Students were motivated to know their potential and that there are five elements of success. Information was shared with the students related to her early life , education and achievements .She gave a thought that ‘Gender does not matter .You work as a scientist ,not as a woman .’ They were also motivated for paving path towards success.

Class V-F Students presented an assembly on "Vijay Diwas"

Vijay Diwas commemorates and celebrates the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in ‘Operation: Vijay’ against the infiltrating Pakistani troops in Bangladesh.The war between Pakistan and India lasted for 13 days, ending on December 16, 1971, and resulting in the formation of a new country by the name of Bangladesh.The students of class 5F presented a class assembly on Vijay Diwas with great enthusiasm and shared information about Vijay Diwas. The assembly ended with a beautiful dance performance that filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour.

Let the entire world be happy. Students of class VI-C presented a class assembly on the topic“ Human Rights Day”. Through their presentation, students stated that every person has dignity and value. One of the ways that we recognise the fundamental worth of every person is by acknowledging and respecting their human rights. They showed through mime acts that human rights are a set of principles concerned with equality and fairness. These are about living a life free from fear, harassment or discrimination. These human rights are the same for all people everywhere – men and women, young and old, rich and poor, regardless of our background, where we live, what we think or what we believe. This is what makes human rights " UNIVERSAL".

Medical Camp

“Health is the greatest of human blessings” A Medical Camp was organized in Sagar Public School Rohit Nagar on 7th, 8th and 9th December 2022 for the students of classes Nursery to XII. A complete health check up comprising of body weight, height, respiratory, ENT, dental and eye checkup was conducted by qualified doctors and trained nurses. The students were given valuable advices to improve their hygiene and health conditions.

Newspaper Reading Competition

The more you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you will go. News is an important and integral part of people’s lives. No matter what one does for a living, chances are that everyone is engaged with news reading at some time as a daily routine. News reading activity encouraged the children to improve their reading skills and enhance general awareness. In this competition, young minds of classes I and II read the news clip with clear pronunciation, fluency and confidence.

English Speech Competition

"The superior man is modest in his speech and exceeds in his actions. " A Declamation Competition for Grade III - V was held in school auditorium in which children declaimed speeches of great personalities like A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Swami Vivekanand, Abraham Lincoln, Malala Yousufzai etc. Children dressed up as the famous personalities delivered the speech eloquently and flawlessly and won the hearts of the audience.

Students VI - B presented assembly on National Pollution Day

National Pollution Day is a day that spreads awareness about the increasing pollution. The students of class VI - B presented their class assembly on the importance of National Pollution Day on 2nd December 2022 .The students narrated the incident of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy as an example to spread awareness about helping our environment by reducing pollution and to remember all those who lost their lives in Bhopal Gas Tragedy. The purpose of National Pollution Day is to promote awareness among mases and to save the environment so that future generations don't have to face environmental issues.

Sagar Public School Rohit Nagar, organized a colouring competition for the tiny tots

Colours are the expression of happiness in Nature : as flowers and fruits , colours spread joy for everyone Keeping this in mind the Pre- primary section of Sagar Public School Rohit Nagar, organized a colouring competition for the tiny tots on 30 November 2022. The little artists participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm. The children took great care to colour their masterpieces with concern and creativity. The fun added to the nostalgia of childhood memories.

Attitude of Gratitude activity was conducted for students of III to V

"Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance." To inculcate thanks giving attitude in our young Sagarites Attitude of Gratitude activity was conducted for students of III to V. The students were asked to bring grains and stationery items from home. Some students were taken to Sagar Vidya Niketan where they distributed stationery items and enjoyed the companionship of the students there. Next the students went to SLST and thanked the support staff and labourers of SLST by donating grains. Also through audio visual aids the teachers guided young minds to be thankful for each and everything that they have bestowed by God. Through the above activity we tried to develop thanks giving attitude in young Sagarites so that they become a better human being in the future and make the world a better place to live.

7th Annual Function ‘अंतः अस्ति प्रारंभः’ The End is the beginning

The grounds of SPSRN came alive with celebration, festivity and deep reverence for the cosmos as the curtain was lifted from the 7th Annual Function on 26.11.22. The theme ‘अंतः अस्ति प्रारंभः’ The End is the beginning was beautifully depicted through a range of well-rehearsed skits and mesmerizing dances by more than 700 Sagarites on stage. The Event began with melodious rendition by the School orchestra which depicted the emergence of Anhad Naad 'OM'. Thereafter the Cosmic cycle of Creation, Preservation and Destruction was showcased in Hiranyagarbha, Lokadhyaksha and Pralaya through enthralling dances. The concept of Shakti was staged in Tridha. The programme culminated with the unraveling of the Grand Finale, in which the contemporary manifestations of this Cosmic Cycle was shown with Woman as a Creator, Preserver and Destroyer. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Darpan Vasudev, a motivational speaker from Hyderabad. The Annual Report outlining the achievements of students was cogently presented by Madam Principal, Dr. Madhubala Chauhan. The efforts of the students was well appreciated by parents who were witness to this cultural extravaganza.

The 7th Annual Function Kohum Se Sohum – The Journey to Self-Realisation. Sagarites from Classes Nursery to III presented a mesmerizing show depicting the eternal journey of mankind- the journey to self-realization. The programme commenced by seeking the blessings of the Almighty with the lighting of the auspicious lamp. The melodious rendition of the Vinayak Vandana and the dance performance set a perfect divine tone to the evening. Madam Principal Dr Madhubala Chauhan welcomed the gathering and proudly shared the glorious achievements of the Sagarites through her Annual Report. The Sagarites in their vibrant costumes dressed as the five elements depicted the formation of human beings through their brilliant performance Astita- the primordial elements. The four pillars of learning were given a unique interpretation by the students. The family, school and the society were regarded as Pariwar Sarwaswam, Medhavardhan and Anyonyashray- the three pillars, finally leading to the fourth pillar of Atma-Bodh or self-realization. The scintillating music and foot-tapping dance of the toddlers enthralled the gathering and invited exultant applause. The sublime theme of Kohum Se Sohum was effortlessly presented by the students with well-coordinated script, excellent delivery of dialogues and mellifluous music and dance performances. The Chief Guest Dr. Rajeev Agrawal congratulated the school for putting up such a splendid show and inculcating such rich cultural values in the students.

Aspire Session by Mr. Srijan Pal Singh

Aspire Session by Mr. Srijan Pal Singh “The purpose of education is to ignite the young minds.” Education without an exposure to the future aspirations is of no purpose. Keeping this in the thought SPSRN organises Aspire sessions. On Saturday, 19 November 2022, the Sagarites got an opportunity to interact with Mr. Srijan Pal Singh, an eminent author,public speaker and social entrepreneur who is the co- founder of Kalam Foundation with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The proud alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Mr. Singh shared his insights and views on possibilities of Science and Technology in the future. He explained the various upcoming developments in the world and the importance of science and technology in meeting the future needs. The students got a wide view of the career prospects in the future time. It was a wonderful session filled with great knowledge.

Sagarities attended a workshop 'Design Meraki 2022'

“Design is thinking made visual” Design Meraki 2022 was a workshop set up with the initiative of helping children explore designing and the careers and courses associated with it. The workshop displayed a side of designing different from the one perceived by society. The workshop started by a discussion by professionals from different prestigious institutions. The students were further divided into four groups namely fashion designing, Interior designing, graphic designing and communication. Overall, the workshop was very insightful and informative.

Mathematics department conducted an Inter- House Competition, Maths 3.0, for classes VI to VIII

"Maths is the language of the universe.The more you know the equations the more you can converse with the cosmos." To enhance the understanding of mathematics and to develop problem solving attitude in our Sagarites, Department of Mathematics conducted an Inter- House Competition, Maths 3.0, for classes VI to VIII on 16.11.2022 wherein students presented practical use of mathematics in our daily life in the form of skits. Students were asked to identify the problem and to provide beneficial solutions for the same. All the houses showcased their skits named as "Sweety di wedding", "Soodkhor Sahukaar" , "World of Chaturbhuj" and "London Return" showcasing problem solving skills and provided effective solutions. The judges and Principal Madam appreciated the awareness and creative thinking skills of the students and the way they presented the same. Aruni House bagged the first prize. It was once again proved that Mathematics is a more powerful instrument of knowledge than any other that has been bequeathed to us by human agency.

Inter – House Science quiz competition conducted at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar

"Knowledge is the only kind of wealth that multiplies when you give it away”. Science quiz aims to inculcate in the minds of young students a spirit of scientific enquiry, analytical thinking and provides a platform to the budding scientists for exchanging thoughts, 16 November, 2022 heralded the Inter – House Science quiz competition for classes IX and X at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar Bhopal. The event witnessed enthusiastic preparation and participation. The students were at their literary best while answering the questions in the different rounds of the quiz. It provided an opportunity for the participants to explore the world of science. It was a wonderful learning experience. Each house exuberated confidence as they answered the questions posed to them while being cheered upon by their house mates. The varied types of questions asked triggered the curious minds and made it a fun and learning event for all. Eklavya house won the quiz followed by Aaruni and Dhruv house.

Students of commerce stream visited Sagar Manufacturers Pvt.Limited

On November 12, 2022, students of commerce stream visited Sagar Manufacturers Pvt. Limited at Tamot near Bhopal as a part of our educational outbound activity. Students were excited to visit the factory. A presentation on the production process followed by visit to production Unit 5 of the factory was a wonderful learning experience. Guide Mr. Harshit took care of student queries. It was a classroom of adventure beyond the walls of a traditional classroom.

Benjamin Franklin has rightly quipped, "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may learn, involve me and I will understand". In order to infuse experiential learning into pedagogy, an educational tour was organized by SPSRN to Sanchi for students of XI and XII of humanities group. Sanchi is India's best-preserved group of Buddhist monuments collectively designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1989. Sanchi is a Buddhist complex, famous for its Great Stupa. The monuments at Sanchi today comprise a series of Buddhist monuments starting from the Mauryan Empire period (3rd century BCE), continuing with the Gupta Empire period (5th century CE), and ending around the 12th century CE. This educational trip has given our students information regarding many areas in history and helped them to explore history of India further. This educational tour helped students to know our great heritage and culture.

The students of class 1-E presented an assembly on Guru Nanak Jayanti on 11th Nov. 2022. The children depicted Guru Nanak's life and teachings. World Kindness Day is an international day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world. The students of class VI-A presented the class assembly on the topic World Kindness Day to promote kindness. It is observed annually on November 13 as part of the World Kindness Movement. The students presented a small skit explaining the significance of kindness frilled with dance. The purpose of this day is to help everyone understand that kindness is what binds us all together. A day devoted to the positive potential of both large and small acts of kindness, try to promote and diffuse this crucial quality that brings people of every kind together.

Educational songs "Keep Holding On" and "Be responsible Be safe" were played to create an engaging and fruitful experience in the assembly.

Aspire Session were conducted Dr. Jawahar Surisetti

An Aspire Session for the students of Classes IX to XII and a training session for the teachers of SPS Rohit Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Dwarka Dham and Katara Extension were conducted on 10th November. The keynote note speaker was Dr. Jawahar Surisetti, Advisor to Government, a TED Speaker, Psychologist, Bestselling Author, and Speaking Tree Columnist. He guided the students to choose the career options prudently and implored the teachers to teach beyond the textbooks. He reiterated the fact that emotional touch enhances the teaching learning process and makes it more productive. Overall it was a great session for teachers and students alike where they were compelled to introspect and improve their skills for better understanding and learning in life.

Eklavya house presented an assembly on 'Sarojini Naidu'.

Eklavya house presented an assembly on the life and of the famous freedom fighter- and Kokila of India Sarojini Naidu on Wednesday, November 09, 2022. Sarojini Naidu, also known as the Nightingale of India, lived a purposeful life. A devoted freedom fighter, a principled politician, a progressive activist, a radical reformer, an inspirational poet - woman of varied talents and high caliber, SarojiniNaidu lived life to its fullest. Her sincerity and zeal in speeches, poems and Conversation reflects devotion and loyalty towards her motherland. The students were enriched and motivated by presentation. The assembly concluded with a patriotic poem where poet was giving a wakeup call to fishermen during nationalist movement of India through the poem Coromandel Fishers.

Teachers of IX to XII segment conducted a life skills assembly

The capacity to learn is a gift, the ability to learn is a skill and the willingness to learn is a choice. Keeping this thought in mind the teachers of IX to XII segment conducted a life skills assembly on 9 November 22 to reinvigorate the idea of gratitude and sincerity in the young minds. The teachers presented two sets of classrooms namely 'Samajhdaar' and 'Khabardaar' wherein they depicted how learning cannot take place without having gratitude and sincerity. Towards the end Madam Principal addressed the audience by throwing light on how a balance between the two needs to be created in a classroom for effective learning.

Internet is a technology, not a toy and we should harness it carefully. In this digital world, where children are increasingly wired to social media and the internet, the concerns of cyber security, cyber bullying, cyber hygiene are pertinent. With this notion, Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar hosted an interactive ASPIRE session by Ms. Zeenat Qureshi, Sub Inspector and Mr. Manjeet Singh, Constable, Cyber Police Bhopal for classes IV to XII. They interacted with the students and discussed about the trending apps and games. The student were told about the legal aspects of accessing the internet like the legal age, ethics and rules of using social media and gaming. They explained the various terminologies like Cyber bullying, Cyber Security, Cyber predators, Phishing etc. Students were advised to handle real and virtual life judiciously. The students were enlightened by the session. The Principal, Dr. Madhubala Chauhan presented saplings as memento to the experts and thanked them for their precious guidance.

Students of SPSRN visited IISER. Institute, through its Centre for Science and Society (CS 2 ), has organized its maiden “Open House” to provide a platform for high school and college students, teachers, parents, and industries to experience cutting-edge teaching and research at IISER Bhopal. Open House was a one-day event aimed at providing an opportunity to visit the IISER Bhopal campus and get an insight into the ongoing innovative research as well as the numerous advanced laboratories and facilities available at IISER Bhopal. This was an “Open for all” platform, where IISERB showcased its science and research prowess to the visiting public through live experiments, scientific demonstrations, lectures, and exhibitions. This exposure was supplemented with critical perspectives from Humanities and Social Sciences. Additionally, there were fun activities through which the participants interacted with faculty and student researchers. Students not only visited the state-of the –art labs but performed experiments, interacted with the research scholars and faculty members. This was a life time experience for them.

ASAGA 2.0 : Alumni meet of batches: 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22

"Happiness is meeting old friends at reunions and rekindling the forgotten memories " Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar hosted a spectacular Alumni Meet, 'ASAGA 2.0' for the three batches: 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22, to rejuvenate the golden cherished memories of the school days. The alumni travelled down the memory lane while sharing their school life experiences. There was a string of interesting games to play and quiz to attempt. Class XII students presented a scintillating dance performance. In her formal address, principal Dr Madhubala Chauhan wished Good Luck to the students and showered her blessings. She reminded them to be persistent about their dreams. The Alumni Meet was an attempt to keep the students connected with their alma mater. The programme ended with an enthralling 'Footloose' which was thoroughly enjoyed by the ex -Sagarites.

Diwali Celebration with exciting activities

“The significance of Deepavali is the removal of darkness and ignorance from the mind and filing it with goodness”. Diwali celebrations at Sagar Public School, Rohit nagar, irradiated everyone’s hearts with delight and joy. The week-long celebrations embraced a clump of exciting activities for the students of classes III to V. The students augured the festival of lights .As a part of the celebrations, different activities were conducted where children made and exhibited colorful and radiant diyas. Apart from this, activities like lamp making, wallpaper and wall hanging making were conducted to escalate the creative skills of the students and fill the students with a festive spirit.

Career Counselling and Alumni Connect

"True guidance is like a small torch in a dark forest. It doesn't show everything once. But gives enough light for the next step to be safe.” A Career Counselling and Alumni Connect was conducted in SPS RN to the students who are aspiring to crack CLAT and pursue a career in law. The two resource persons were Ms Nitya Telang, an alumnus of SPS RN and Ms Swastika Ganguly currently a student of NLIU Bhopal. They shared valuable and effective tips and techniques to crack CLAT and balance the academics of class 12th with the competitive exams. The students had several queries regarding legal career which were addressed efficiently. They also guided the students to achieve their future goals with greater vision and clarity. Overall a very fruitful session for law aspirants.

Special assembly on Diwali

Diwali, the festival of lights symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. The warm bright glow emitted from the diyas eradicates negativity and brings the zeal back into our life. The students of class III E presented a special assembly on Diwali to celebrate the spirit of the festival in its true hue and significance. The students presented a small skit explaining the significance of Diwali frilled with song and dance.

Informative program on “Stop Bullying”

The Auditorium of SPSRN reverberated with the slogan of STOP BULLYING as the teachers of classes VI to VIII of presented an informative program to make the students aware about consequences of bullying . Bullying is repeated, aggressive behavior intended to hurt another person, physically or mentally, and with the purpose of gaining power over the person being targeted. A brief introduction regarding Bullying and the role of Bully, Victim and Bystander was given by School Counselor. To make the message loud and clear the team of teachers showcased a street play wherein the consequences of bullying were depicted in a very energetic and informative way. They came to know about some renowned personalities who faced bullying in their lives and emerged out more strongly. The program ended with the pledge taken by our young Sagarites to stop the menace of bullying. A human chain was formed to spread this message. It was a nice initiative by the Team of VI to VIII to make SPSRN a bully free zone and to ensure a safe learning environment for our dear Sagarites. Respected Principal Madam appreciated the efforts and exhorted the students to conscientiously report the matters of bullying and create an environment of love, respect and appreciation in the school.

MARVELLOUS FABLES – Story telling competition for classes I and II

The purpose of a storyteller is to bond the listeners' attention and wrap their imagination as if under a spell. Storytelling does not to tell us how to think, but gives us questions to think upon. It is a unique way to develop the necessary understanding for characters and storyline. Storytelling generates respect and appreciation for other cultures and promotes a positive attitude for people from different regions, religions, races and culture.English Story Telling Competition MARVELLOUS FABLES was conducted for classes I and II on Wednesday, 12 October 2022 in which the students participated with great enthusiasm.

Sinco.com – Interhouse science competition for classes VI to VIII

"Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding." To enhance the understanding of science and to develop problem solving attitude in our Sagarites, Department of Science conducted an Inter- House Science Competition Scinco.com for classes VI to VIII on 12.10.2022 wherein students viewed a video depicting certain environmental issues. Students were asked to identify the problem and to provide beneficial solutions for the same. All the houses showcased their problem solving skills and provided various cost effective solutions. The judges and Principal Madam appreciated the awareness and creative thinking skills of the students and the way they presented the same. Abhimanyu House bagged the first prize and the runner up team was Dhruv House. It was once again proved that our nation is in safe hands of young and conscious sagarites.

Grandparents day

Nobody can do what the grandparents do for the little children. The grandparents sprinkle stardust over these little stars and make them sparkle!! Celebrating Grandparents Day gives an opportunity to treasure the wonderful bond with them and honour them for the sacrifices they make , to show respect for the quality time spent together. Grandparents Day was celebrated at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar, on October 12, 2022. The students presented wonderful dances, a skit and sang a melodious song especially composed for the day. It depicted the feeling of being loved and wanted. An exciting rampwalk was done by the grandparents. The Grandparents Day was a heart touching experience for everyone.

D.E.A.R. Activity

“Reading is to mind what exercise is to body”. To inculcate reading habits amongst the young Sagarites and to enhance their vocabulary, a D.E.A.R. i.e. Drop Everything And Read activity was conducted on 12.10.2022 for the students of Classes III – V. Students brought their favourite book and sitting together along with their friends and classmates enjoyed reading activity. They shared and discussed their views and learning from the book with their classmates and teachers. Overall it was a fun filled and exiting activity for the little intellects.
