Sagar Utsav – The Unity Carnival
On the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, January 26, 2025, Sagar Public School hosted a vibrant and dynamic event, Sagar Utsav – The Unity Carnival, on its premises. The carnival brought together students, parents, and staff in a jubilant celebration of unity, talent, and camaraderie. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a tradition symbolizing the triumph of knowledge and positivity. This was followed by an extraordinary and entertaining ramp walk by parents, who showcased their enthusiasm and elegance. Adding to the delight, a spirited dance competition for parents revealed their hidden talents, infusing the atmosphere with energy and cheer.\r\nStudents, too, exhibited their creativity and talents through captivating dance performances that left the audience spellbound. One of the highlights of the carnival was the highly anticipated lucky draw, which kept attendees eagerly awaiting the results. The festivities culminated in a prize distribution ceremony, where participants and winners were honored for their remarkable efforts. To enhance the carnival experience, an array of food and game stalls, creatively managed by parents and students, added a splash of vibrancy to the celebration. These stalls offered delectable treats and engaging activities, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. Sagar Utsav proved to be a grand success, fostering a strong sense of unity and community among all attendees. Aspire Session on Traffic Rules and Safety Awareness by The Traffic Police department, Bhopal
‘Life is a journey, not a destination,’ but the quality of that journey often depends on how safely we travel. Sagar public school hosted an Aspire Session on Traffic Rules and Safety Awareness by The Traffic Police department, Bhopal on January 24, 2025. The chief speaker and the guests for the session were Shri Ajay Bajpai ( ACP Traffic), Renu Murab madam (TI Traffic) and Shri Sanjay Somani (Chief Traffic Warden and Social Worker). The event began with a green welcome by the Vice Principal Ma’am, followed by an informative presentation on traffic rules and safety measures by the officers. The session concluded with a pledge led by the guest and a memento of gratitude was presented to the officers. Students learned the importance of following the traffic rules and the session proved to be insightful and thought-provoking for the students.

Inter School Sub Junior Champs Sports Competition
‘With every stride we have reached new heights’. In challenges faced we have seen our might \r\nThe game may end but the spirit remains fueling our dreams and guiding our aims. A three day spectacular gathering of amazing and agile athletes and players from 24 different schools of Bhopal and the nearby cities competed for the winning trophy in various sports and games in Sub Junior Championship 2025. More than 1400 students from Classes III to VI put in the efforts and enthusiasm to test their stamina, skills and determination. Sports inculcate lives greatest values like embracing challenges working as a team respecting the opponents and to never give up these real trophies were taken home by every single participant at the Sub Junior Champs Trophy 2025. The Chief Guest, Mr Rajkumar Khilrani, an accomplished international swimmer, presently serving as Joint Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Swimming Association graced the occasion and motivated the participants.

CSRI visit to Lucknow
From January 6 to January 8, 2025, students in grades IX and XI went on an excellent educational tour to Lucknow to visit CSRI facilities including as CDRI, IITR, NBRI, and the Birbal Sahani Institute of Paleosciences as part of a Jigyasa Government effort. The tour provided firsthand experience with cutting-edge research in medication development, toxicity, botanical science, and paleo science. Students met with professionals, witnessed live experiments, and investigated fossil collections, herbariums, and advanced scientific gear. Aside from academics, students explored Lucknow's prominent sites, such as Kukrail Forest, Bara Imambara, and bustling markets. The tour combined theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, encouraging students to pursue professions in science and innovation.

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. The talented students of classes III to V of Abhimanyu House at SPSRN took us back to our rich Indian mythology where prosperity, joy and love combined. This famous story of Onam was displayed through a wonderful skit by the Blue House students. Onam is an ancient and most well-known Hindu festival of Kerala, which celebrates the rice harvest. In Kerala, Onam is a long festival that lasts all year and is honoured as a holiday to honour King Mahabali. Onam commemorates the annual homecoming of the King Mahabali. He was defeated by Vishnu as in Vaaman's avatar and banished to Pataal Lok. Onam is also an occasion to remind us of the significance of certain values like sharing, protecting nature, humility and surrendering ourselves to the almighty.

On July 1, SPS RN held its 11th Foundation Day and Investiture Ceremony. The newly elected Student Council was sworn in for the session 2024-25. To repose trust and responsibility, the council members were presented with badges and sashes in a grand ceremony graced by Major General Ajay Kumar Mahajan as Chief Guest. Ms Shilpa Kaurav, from the Police Department was the Special Guest. The Student Council led by Bhavishya Singh Bisht, the Head Boy and Ritika Chaturvedi, the Head Girl showcased a spectacular march past with perfect precision and elegance. The school management felicitated the students of classes XI and XII , session 2023-24 for their academic excellence with scholarship cheques and appreciation letters. International Olympic day is a celebration of the Olympic values and the ideals of the Olympic movements. World Olympic day is observed every year on 23rd June and it’s a celebration of sports, health and togetherness . The students of class 10th D transported us into the stadiums of Olympic Games by presenting an assembly on the theme of Olympic day. Students spoke on various aspects of Olympic Games like the history of the games, timeline of Olympic games and experience of prominent sports personalities in different sports fields. Olympic torch light was lighted to commemorate this event. A separate segment was devoted to showcase the various countries that excelled in these games over the years. Students represented the Olympic rings by donning these colours for the assembly presentation. There was a short quiz on Olympic theme which ignited the spark among children. Overall it was like a short movie covering all aspects of Olympic Games.

The students of Class X-A, Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar presented an informative and interesting assembly on the topic 'Nature vs Nurture' on 12 April 2024, Friday. The students presented their views through a nukkad natak. They emphasized that howsoever our inherited traits be – dominant or diseased, the environment gives us ample number of chances to bloom and flourish. Over the years this debate has been raging. But its only recently that we have come to understand that the environment plays a more crucial role in the growth and development of an individual than his or her genetic make-up. The environment plays a key role to decide what makes and what breaks us. What inspires us and what upsets us. The children used two potted plants having the same genome to elaborate the theme. The audience sat spell bound and counted on various take aways. While addressing the students, Principal, Ms. Shraddha Kanungo, appreciated the students' efforts and motivated them to participate in extra curricular activities to groom their personalities in a holistic manner.

Orientation programme, for parents of class Nur-II
Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar organized an orientation programme on 1st and 2nd April, for parents of (Nur-II) to familiarize them, “as partners in progress” with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities. The Orientation began on a thought that was as follows: “A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.” Welcoming parents to the new academic session, Ms. Ashwini Hardikar Headmistress Nur-II spoke at length about the benefits of effective communication between parents and teachers; she laid emphasis on a strong connection with the school patrons. She even sought support and suggestions from the parents to provide best education and growth opportunities to the children of the school, and shared few tips on good parenting. Moving further, she also spoke in detail about different ways of nurturing a child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a glorious future. It was a fruitful interactive session.

On Feb 08, 2024 the tiny tots of Nursery A at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar performed a class assembly on “Shapes”.
